SPRING SUMMER 2012 TREND SPOTLIGHT: The High-Low Hem

The high-low hem is one of this season's trends and I have been longing to try it out. Also called a mullet, it has been around since the early 1990s and has been given a vibrant twist in African print.

Here is my custom made ASAKEOGE version I wore to the IRock UK Charity Fundraiser.

AFRICAN PRINT 'KENTE' DRESS

I was invited to be a guest presenter on Ben TV SKY 184 on Saturday 5th May. Did not want to wear anything from my wardrobe so here is what I made a dress from some kente wax print.
I am currently in love with the kaleidoscope of electric colours found on the amazing kente print and already have a few outfits made from it.

The dress features a cutout neckline made from bright yellow lycra fabric. It is inspired by something I saw from designers, LOUD.
I paired it with navy blue shoes and a statement ring.
This dress will definitely get a few wears from me !

Photoshoot with Jide Alakija

Did a shoot with uber talented photographer Jide Alakija this January in SE London.
Weather was freezing cold but I had a real nice time. Jide made me feel really relaxed and I think he captured my personality perfectly. I was doing my thing and he was just snapping away ! We took up to 500 pictures and I have shared some via Twitter and Facebook.  For more information on Jide Alakija's work and how he can be contacted go to http://www.jidealakija.com/ and http://www.alakija.shutterchance.com/
All garments worn are AsakeOge and can be ordered via sales@asakeoge.com
